Road to the Nationals: Ben ‘The Wookie’ Shaw

Ben Shaw, aka “The Wookie”, has been making waves in the 2024 UK Cornhole League (UKCL) season, quietly climbing the ranks with a number of impressive performances. A member of the Ashby Baggers, Shaw’s journey is a testament to how dedication and consistency can yield impressive results in a short period.

Shaw, who balances his cornhole career with a full-time role in warehouse and logistics management, calls Ashby de la Zouch home. Joining the league during Season 2, he quickly showed potential despite only participating part-time, finishing the season ranked 20th. Teaming up with Charlie Lomax, Shaw secured a podium finish in the Season 2 Doubles Championship, showcasing his talent as both an individual and a team player.
