Richard Blanke wins Qualifier 2

40 players travelled to the beautiful Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds, club-hosted by the Bury Baggers.


The league experienced an influx of 11 new players, spanning diverse geographical origins across the United Kingdom and Europe.


The format was singles rounders and double elimination bracket, giving each player a minimum of 5 games throughout the day.


Only 5 players managed to go through the rounders un-defeated, those were Gavan, Blanke, Lilley, Saunt and McGrath.


Several players, such as Craig Smith, Jon Stynes, and Liam McGrath, delivered standout performances during the event.


German competitor, Blanke, secured third position in the previous qualifier in Manchester and entered the competition with a singular goal in mind – claiming the top spot. He maintained an undefeated streak throughout the day until the final match. In the initial game, Matthew Richardson dominated with an impressive 21-0 win, but the competition required a "double dip."

As the match reached its climax, Blanke elevated his performance, revealing a newfound intensity and ultimately clinching the decisive game with a score of 21-7. The overall final was marked by tension, keeping the crowd captivated until the final moments.
